Recovering food, clothes, furniture and anything that has been thrown out that it is still usable.
  2. Freecycle.org/craiglist.com’s free section
Posting to these web sites items that you can offer for free and browsing items that you might need.
  3. Food not bombs
Salvaging eatable food from restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, etc. Joining a local chapter and cook warm meals for people who need it.
  4. Freestores/free markets
Organizing a freestore where people can bring items that they no longer use but someone else might have a need for them.
  5. Craigllist.com’s Ride Share and Spaceshare.com
