Music is my life, my outlet and my ultimate escape.

For my first show, I wrote a song about a friend I lost to drugs and at the end of my set, a

45-year-old man came up to me in tears. He told me he felt like the song was written for him. He told me he had been clean for years and hadn’t been able to cry about it until hearing my song.

“This is why I do this,” I thought to myself. Music is my most effective release.

Music will never judge or tell me I’m wrong. When something bad happens, I just write a song and it all fades away.

I enjoy watching as other musicians find their escape through performance. Also as a photographer, I have been privileged to capture many intense and heartfelt expressions.

The strain in their throats as each note pours out. The way they grip their instrument so tight as sweat and tears stream down their face and body. When you’re on stage, you have the freedom to express anything. You have the ability to say whatever you want without being censored. You can change the world...

one song at a time.
